What Drives You to Succeed?

Your passion

Written by: Warren Young
We all need to make a living, money is critical for that reason. While I agree it's important to get your money on track, I think we miss something along the way. We spend so much of our lives thinking of finances because of this that we don't spend anytime learning how to live.

You see it all the time. People cut things they enjoy out of their life for financial reasons. To me, if it's not for an important reason I see no reason to do so. I say this because I used to live that way and I know how much quality you take out of life.

I'm not talking about running out buying a $50,000 dollar boat to feel good. I'm telling you that when you truly enjoy something that adds quality to your life you keep it. So many people with plenty of money end up miserable after getting the very thing they wanted most.

Why is that? Because while they have a bank account full of beautiful green dollars, they have a life full of grey. You have to know how to enjoy yourself while living within your means, it's that simple. I cannot stress this enough. Stop looking at that needed vacation as an expense. If you can afford it no problem, look at it as what it is, getting away from your everyday life.

When you sit back and think about this, I want you to ask yourself, why am I working so hard? Why did I want this money, to look at it? What's my desire.. Why am I really doing this?

I'll tell you this. When I first started on the Internet in 2011, I jumped into the world of E-commerce head first. Success came quick and numbers came so fast that's all I began to see. It's like putting someone through school doing NOTHING but math. They would never learn about the world, it's history or it's events. They would never know of the many amazing places to visit or anything about culture. To sum it up, they would live a life with no color in it, only grey.

This happens to a lot of people, especially young people who experience early success. I urge you to listen to what I'm saying and step out of the box for a bit, see the world, find who you really are and things will change. When all I wanted was money without any purpose no dollar amount in the world could truly put a smile on my face.(OK maybe a million but you get the point).

Ill end with this, want to know how you know your doing what your meant for? Ask yourself..do I enjoy doing the extra things I don't have to do to be the best I can at this? Am I doing this for a reason and does the reason drive me? When you can honestly say yes, you have found your path.

  1. Very interesting take on things my Friend, and that is a very noble path you are taking. Your absolutely right, one must stop and smell the Roses from time to time even if it means taking time off something we "think" is important.

  2. Thanks for the comment.

And yes, getting away can do wonders for someone who's stuck.
